Educational Consultant
CurrentAs a Subject Leader in Education I provide educational expertise, as well as practical and innovative strategies to make an impact on student engagement through improved teaching and learning. All this is with the aim of raising increasing pupil enjoyment and achievement in STEM subjects. My role as the STEM Lead for the Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Science Learning Partnership as well as Greater Bristol which was run on behalf of Stem Learning has now ended due to DfE funding changes.I previously held a role as Regional Development Lead for STEM Learning Ltd and managed the Science professional development programme for Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, Greater Bristol as well as Herefordshire and Worcestershire. I also provide a support programme for early career teachers including those on the Gloucestershire Initial Teacher Education Programme for science teachers.I also coordinate the Gloucestershire Secondary subject leader meetings for secondary science as well as providing consultancy support to schools.I have provided professional development for educators in science as well as the other STEM subjects and working closely with Teaching Schools. I have worked with teachers in India through the Royal Society of Chemistry's Knowledge Exchange Workshop in Bangalore and Mumbai. I am currently presenting on-line training courses for the RSC.Other clients have included the Babcock international, Cabot Learning Federation, BBC, Warwick University, At- Bristol, STEM works, National Science Learning Centre Network and MyScience. All activities have been very well received with excellent evaluations.
