Joined Alerus Financial in 2022 through its merger with Metro Phoenix Bank. Currently manage teams in the Arizona market and lead strategic planning and market-related revenue producing activities. Well over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and I have spent the majority of time specifcially within executive management of Phoenix area commercial banks. Areas of strength include an extensive commercial banking background, market expertise, organizatonal leadership skills and a history of execution.Before joining Alerus, I was a principal founder of Metro Phoenix Bank and served as president, CEO and board member for nearly 17 years, leading the company from inception to become one of the largest full service commercial banks headquartered in Arizona. Was a driving force behind the development and launch of Metro Phoenixc Bank specialty verticals, to inlcude SBA Lending, Outdoor Media Lending and HOA Deposit & other specialty Treasury Management platforms. Prior to launching Metro Phoenix, I served in various executive management roles and led initiatives to launch another de novo commercial bank, turn around a distressed institution and worked for a federal banking agency as a commissioned bank examiner.
