Provided expert IT guidance, management and mentoring support to a team of highly skilled, cleared IT staff while acting as a key liaison to vendor partners and customers alike. I acted as the technical project manager for mission essential projects, and am well versed in managing the full life-cycle of high profile IT projects focusing on the customer’s end goals. I also served in the role of a top-tier technical engineer for cleared projects.

Provided expert/SME level support for all networks and systems in the enterprise. Led a team of 10-12 staff of Tier 2 and Tier 3 Network and Systems Administrators/Engineers in support of 2,500+ corporate and client site users. Acted as a hands-on IT Project Manager for most enterprise level IT projects. Acted as the Lead IT Project Manager and Senior Network/Systems Engineer on all classified IT projects where corporate IT resources were deployed. Acted as the primary IT liaison to the Office of the Chief Security Officer. Regularly met with senior leadership providing project status updates and gleaning further corporate direction to help guide the IT Solutions Division. Produced information and presentations to be presented to the Board of Directors regarding ongoing IT initiatives. Procured all server, desktop, and appliance hardware; software and licensing. Negotiated standard purchase rates/packages with new and existing vendors that were favorable when reflecting the volume of IT commodity equipment purchased. Involved in negotiations with vendors working on enterprise agreements with Microsoft and Cisco licensing. Planned and coordinated the integration of newly acquired companies from both a technical and IT staffing perspective. Assigned directly to the Chief Technology Officer to support special IT projects outside the normal corporate IT purview. Provided direct support to the President and COO for IT consultation regarding impact of potential corporate decisions.

Provided senior level support for all networks and systems in the enterprise. Managed a small staff of Network and Systems Administrators providing tasking and guidance on a variety of enterprise IT projects. Planned, engineered, and migrated the Active Directory infrastructure from a Windows Server 2000 Active Directory to a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Forest. Re-engineered the replication ring and all background processes optimizing the infrastructure to support a coast-to-coast decentralized enterprise. Planned and led the transition from a legacy email system to an Exchange 2003 forest. Engineered the Exchange deployment to support a bi-coastal load-balanced Front-End/Back-End solution thereby ensuring the best availability and fault tolerance. Designed a new Server Operations Center to host the enterprise’s back-office/financial systems. Engineered the room to support enough power, cooling and fire suppression to enable the corporation to support existing and future growth potential. Worked with outside vendors coordinating installation of all power, cooling, and cabling. Planned, coordinated, and executed a successful Server Operations Center move of several hundred pieces of hardware with minimal impact to normal ops. Assisted in the planning, coordination, and integration of newly acquired companies from an IT perspective. Assisted in the planning, coordination, and build out of new office space from open concrete to a completed fully-operational state from both an IT and facilities perspective.Assisted the Security Team in the build out of new SCIF space, and the restoration of other existing SCIF space. Provided all IT guidance, support, and technical security functions as required utilizing DCID 6/3. Assisted in procurement of all IT related software and hardware. Assisted in negotiations with various IT suppliers reducing procurement costs. Assigned directly to the CTO to support special IT projects outside the normal corporate IT purview.

Provided Tier 2 and Tier 3 support functions for all DC Metro offices in support of 1,000+ users. Assisted in the design and implementation of a complete re-architecture of all WAN connectivity inside the Government Services sector of Perot Systems. Assisted in the engineering and installation of a new enterprise firewall infrastructure optimizing corporate network security. Administered Linux, Microsoft Exchange, and Lotus Domino Mail infrastructures. Developed and executed a migration strategy consolidating all of these disparate systems into one Microsoft Exchange 2003 Forest with a unified email policy. Planned, engineered, and implemented the Government Services sector Active Directory infrastructure and migrated the enterprise off of Novell Netware. Participated on an advisory team for Perot Systems Corporate regarding potential migration strategies to merge and consolidate multiple NT4.0 and Windows 2000 domains into a single Active Directory architecture. Managed a small staff of Systems Administrators providing tasking and guidance on a variety of enterprise IT projects. Participated in a number of facility moves from an IT perspective minimizing down time. Served as both a Systems Administrator and Technical Lead on a variety of cleared/classified projects.

Provided Tier 1 and Tier 2 support functions for three offices in Crystal City, VA supporting 150+ users. Served as Server Administrator for Novell file, print, and authentication services. Updated and maintained interoffice routing protocols utilizing a dual stack of both TCP/IP and IPX protocols. Performed System Administrator duties for classified workstations in accordance with NISPOM guidelines.

Provided program analysis and reporting support in a mainframe based DB2 infrastructure for regulatory compliance driven data mining. Developed, programmed, and provided regular recurring reports to legal and government entities as covenants required.

Provided development and administration services for a newly developed database of Economic Indicators for the Cumberland Valley region in Pennsylvania establishing a way of monitoring the health of the local region’s economy.

Participated as a team member responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of all University Computer Labs on campus. Assisted students with computer related problems and questions. Assisted in the development of SOPs regarding the opening and closing of the computer labs each day.
