With over 25 years of experience in the Data & Analytics and Performance Management industries, Steve has a proven track record of building and growing successful Sales and Alliance & Channel Teams. Steve currently leads the SAS Global Strategic Account Program and is responsible for contributing to the achievement of SAS’ strategic objectives and overall account success through the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy for SAS' Global Strategic Accounts. As the Global Strategic Accounts Program Leader, Steve is responsible for driving the progress of multi-year strategic account plans for Global Accounts to meet and exceed SAS’ customer objectives. SAS’ Global Strategic Account Program focusing on driving total operating revenues within key multinational companies. Steve is responsible for driving and collaborating cross-functionally to develop and execute a cohesive global program to create world-class client experiences for SAS Global Accounts tier.Steve joined SAS in 2015 initially to lead the Alliance & Channel Team in the Middle East & Africa Region. Steve’s role was then expanded to lead the South EMEA Region in 2017. In 2019, Steve was the promoted to Vice President responsible for the Alliance & Channel organization in EMEA, then in 2021 Steve's role was expanded to include EMEA & Asia Pacific Regions.Prior to joining SAS, Steve was an Associate Director within KPMG’s Management Consulting Division, responsible for driving technology-enabled performance management solutions. Steve joined KPMG in 2011 as part of KPMG’s acquisition of Fios, where Steve was a director and headed up Sales & Operations. Before that, Steve held several Sales and Management positions with leading organizations like Dimension Data, Global Technology, and Cognos.Prior to Steve taking up a career in the Analytics and Performance Management industry, Steve pursued a career as a Professional Golfer on both the Sunshine and Winter Tours from 1990 - 1996. Steve’s most notable achievements were being honoured with South African Junior Springbok Colours and winning a number of high-profile amateur championships. In 1997 Steve’s career path took on a completely different route as he pursued a career in the Business Intelligence industry.
