First off, unlike many here on LinkedIn, I'm *not* the best manager in the world, nor do I have a trophy case full of work awards glittering just off my desk space. (I *do* have several high-level awards, just not in a trophy case. :-) That said, I'm a really smart, really creative dude who is just starting to realize just how powerful he can be, and how he can change the world.Lofty? Sure. But what's the fun in failure if you don't shoot for the moon?Specifically, I have 17 years of retail management experience with such notable companies as Apple, T-Mobile, CarMax, and Louis Vuitton. I was really, really good at my job - just ask 'em - my stores were usually top of market, I had really low turnover, and our customer service scores were in most cases top of class. And those results reflect my professional philosophy - take care of your internal and external customers with all your resources and attention, and the sales will take care of themselves!But now! Over the last several years, I have embarked on a hell of a new journey - indie game development! I have come to learn that I really don't know what I don't know, and in many ways I've started over with my knowledge base. Sadly enough, there are almost no books on how to start, run, and thrive with a new indie studio, so I've been more or less writing my own book as we go along.
