A ServiceNow Business Analyst (BA) is a key member of an engagement team. The BA closely collaborates with the Solution Architect (SA), Business Process Consultant (BPC), Developers, Quality Analyst (QA), and Project Manager / Associate Project Manager (PM/APM) to create impactful client solutions.The BA is directly responsible for engagement quality and success by serving as the voice of the customer and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and that the client is prepared to adopt them.Responsibilities:• Serving as “Voice of the Customer”, aligning requirements with client objectives.• Bridging the gap from use case to stories, making it possible for the technology team to make the platform support the vision.• Working with the SA, to identify and import applicable base stories.• Documenting functional stories and acceptance criteria, including updating base stories to reflect client configurations.• Aligning stories to epics to structure a “story” and set up the team to demonstrate end-to-end functionality.• Contributing to sprint plans to ensure functionality is developed in a logical sequence based on client needs.• Answering questions and clarifying requirements for developers to help them align efforts to business objectives.• Documenting deviations in performance and client expectations and determining whether deviations represent enhancements or missed requirements.• Working with QA to track/categorize defects during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).• Understanding and delivering to the project budget and timeline.• Understanding the Statement of Work (SOW) and its intent.• Recognizing and alerting team members to scope changes.• Providing input and updates towards the project plan throughout the engagement.• Contributing to Change Order (CO) content.• Contributing items for inclusion and tracking in a Risk/Issued/Decisions/Actions/Changes (RIDAC) log.• Helping to design mitigation strategies to address risks and issues.
