As my projects were high risk and related to core university services I was instrumental in assisting building new project related processes into the SDLC as part of the ongoing implementation of ITIL.At one point I was concurrently managing three multi-million dollar software and infrastructure projects whilst mentoring my team so they could become associate project managers or business analysts. It was a very challenging but rewarding few months.Each project involved working with critical areas of the university, build relationships with key stakeholders and managing large teams made up of discreet teams of experts. I started this role on a project to deliver a $15 million Oracle platform, which was the largest installation in the Asia Pacific at the time. I was responsible for delivering the Business Case and associated artefacts. I was initially hired to be a Systems Administrator but quickly demonstrated my ability to manage multiple complex systems and manage the administrative aspects of a more senior role such as budgets, system analysis, training and project management, which lead to my promotion.I systematically upgraded the entire Law School systems from multiple, disparate systems to become consolidated, redundant and cost-efficient.
