I'm currently the Chief Engineer High Speed Flight UK for Reaction Engines Ltd, delivering technology verification programmes for space access, high speed flight and sustainable aviation.I am a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IMechE.I was previously the Director of Think Evolve Solutions Limited and provided programme management and engineering consultancy services using my extensive experience in the Aerospace industry.Prior to this I was Head of the Validation and Verification Function for Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace in Derby, a population of around 300 Engineers, and I previously headed up the Civil Technology Demonstrator Development Team for Rolls-Royce plc. Using Systems Engineering we establish requirements, define verification strategies and execute aero engine and rig tests to demonstrate compliance and advance the state of the art. I also have extensive programme management experience in delivering complex engineering design and make programmes in a high pressure environment. I’m familiar with Primavera P6, MS Project and SAP, leading teams using these industry standard tools to deliver programmes. I spent 3 years overseas in Toulouse, France, in both Technical and Managerial roles, and therefore have good cultural awareness and wider knowledge of the aerospace industry. I have also developed a love for all things French! To keep fit and provide a challenge outside work I’m a middle distance triathlete and mountain biker, competing through the summer and getting muddy through the winter!
