This system comprised a cloud-based chain of horizontally scalable, Python-written, micro-services, connected via Apache Kafka topics, with the ability to archive and process more than 1 billion events (1TB of raw data) daily. Data was archived in S3 and directly available to analysts on an Amazon Redshift cluster with below 10-minute latency. The pipeline’s capacity also enables an uncapped number of event listeners to receive and react to events in real-time without affecting ETL and core archival services.
