I have been responsible as a direct liaison between the Pediatric Clinical Programs and the Women’s, Newborns and Pediatric iCentra team. During this time I have been involved with the home care team and the ED/Floor respiratory care team. These teams were responsible for developing policies and procedures for the department that relate to the specific team. These guidelines helped to enable the families to be educated in a more timely fashion, thus reducing length of stay. These procedures are currently used to teach families in preparation for discharge. I have been involved with quality management by teaching students to ensure quality care. I created a PowerPoint presentation that was used to educate nurses on the CPT protocol for a QEM module. I have worked with ED Physicians on the Asthma Care Process Model and have written a proposal of how to implement this model throughout Intermountain Healthcare.
