A vastly experienced Chief Executive Officer with years of leadership experience.I also have Non-Executive Director experience being on the Board of The EFL, a Trustee of The Millwall Community Trust and serving as Vice Chairman of The FA Cup Committee, The Professional Game Board (PGB) and PGF plus FA Council. My experience covers a vast range of areas and with a substantial number of achievements.Of late most notable are Leadership - leading Millwall is one of, if not the, hardest CEO role in football. The challenges to direct and lead through a vast array of complexities are substantial, in my tenure, we have delivered huge progress off the pitch both commercially, and with the Club’s Image, and on the pitch an unprecedented 8th year established in the Championship.Senior negotiations- as part of my Non-Exec roles I have been heavily involved in discussions with the Government, MP’s and DCMS, such discussions have helped to shape the way forward for the future of Football. Plenty still to do and get right.Commercial deliverables- delivering for the Board strong commercial results (highest crowds in 70 years, up on average nearly 40% during my tenure, and unprecedented sponsorship deals).Crisis Management- the sudden death of John Berylson required leadership and compassion, in managing a business through such trauma. Everything was done for John who was an unbelievable individual.Delivering key strategic business needs - delivering a 999-year Development Lease on strategic land around The Den plus delivering a planning application to provide the Club with the ability to deliver a state of the art Training Complex. Both projects deliver a long-term vision and provide for an achievable and hugely positive future for Millwall FC.Club and Brand image- key in the role is to deliver a vision for the business that historically has been challenging, striking the right balance has been central to the role.Previously to this, I was CEO for Charlton Athletic (10 years of employment)and Southend United (4 years of employment). I also had a career as a Chief Financial Officer and business advisory roles working for BDO (14 years of employment).
