I solve complex, data-related problems for clients using R scripts and R Shiny applications to provide clients with relevant and actionable insights. I provide data visualizations designed to maximize understanding of what the data mean (and don't mean) for the operational decisions that need to be made. I deliver re-usable and extensible code for, data cleaning, advanced modeling (machine learning), visualization and reporting (modularized application development and report generation). I provide support in writing SQL queries, and have developed enterprise-level secure containerized shiny applications deployed via Kubernetes and Azure Active Directory.

Manage three workstreams including assessment administration, assessment development and teacher accountability work (Student Learning Objectives). Direct all national, state and district tests for Denver Public schools. Collaborate with directors and superintendents to provide a coherent set of assessments to meet needs of instructional information and accountability. Direct development, production, maintenance and analysis of over 100 district interim assessments, including Spanish versions and Spanish translations. Responsible for undergraduate courses in educational psychology and cognitive psychology, as well as graduate level courses in learning and cognition, cognitive psychology and assessment. Develop labs and trained TAs in conjunction with undergraduate courses. Advise graduate students. Conduct research on enhancing learning and deeper conceptual understanding from print and online settings. Secured grants to investigate interventions to increase evaluation capacity building.

Directed operations of a learning center serving school-aged children with reading and math difficulties. Developed instructional materials, trained graduate assistants, and built website as informational source for parents of learning disabled children.

Led the design and development of a web-based instructional modules for training teachers to interpret norm-referenced tests. These modules serve as a test-bed for research on the effectiveness of computer-based interactivity and user-to-user interaction in web-based environments. Designed studies exploring the effectiveness of supplying conceptual examples and allowing users to share their perspectives on instructional material.
