The real job of a leader is not about being in charge, it's about taking care of those in our charge.I learned the value of this statement early in my career when in order to ensure a properly machined part acceptable to the customer was done as efficiently as possible to ensure company profitability while at the same time ensuring production workers were properly trained in processes to be successful in their positions. I'm not afraid to be hands on with the employee or customer as I am technically minded.
