Stephen Lytle is the Coordinator for Music and Drama for the Salem-Keizer Public Schools in Salem, Oregon where he oversees a diverse and award-winning performing arts program for their 40,0000+ students, 100+ faculty, 65+ schools. Prior to his appointment he served as the Associate Director of Bands at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, leading the 330-member "Pride of West Virginia", the Mountaineer Marching Band and the Basketball Pep Band and was principal conductor of the Symphonic Band. Previously, Dr. Lytle was the Associate Director of Bands at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he led the Miami University Marching Band to several major performances including an exhibition performance at the 2017 BOA Grand Nationals Finals, the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Parade, and the 2011 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.Dr. Lytle is a native of North Carolina and spent eleven years teaching in the public schools there, much of that time at East Chapel Hill High School, before pursuing his final degree. He is an active arranger in multiple media but with an emphasis in marching band, for which he has written consistently since 1993 for multiple high school and collegiate programs each year and publishes through the Devmusic Company.
