Purpose: As the Turnaround Manager I am accountable for all aspects of Turnaround development including:• 10 year strategic turnaround plan• Strategic asset planning to support portfolio objectives• Capital management• Event strategy• Event preparation, planning and execution.• Turnaround organisation development • Integration of supporting departments: Projects, Inspection, Maintenance, Engineering, Asset, Commercial and Operations.Dimensions:Plan and Execution of small to large turnarounds (Annualised spend up to $200m). This position directly influences the Refinery Targets in HSSE, Unplanned Controllable Downtime (UCD) and cost. Turnaround events may incorporate significant Capital Project work.Reports: 10 reports direct Viva reports and embedded contractor team. During execution phases contractor numbers may reach 1000+ personnel.

Overall management of the CDU4 2023 Turnaround, a multi-unit turnaround event with a budget of $110M.The CDU4 Turnaround is the major maintenance event historically occurring every 6 years. The event covered 12 operating units, impacting 50% of the refinery capacity and only hydrogen generation unit.

With a proven track record of leading and optimising maintenance operations to enhance efficiency and safety in complex industrial settings, I am proficient in strategic planning, budget management, and team leadership. I excel at developing preventative maintenance programs and promoting a culture of safety, all while managing equipment and asset maintenance, emergency response, and process improvement.

As the Asset Engineer, I oversaw and optimised pressure vessel inspections, managed projects, conducted risk assessments, and ensured compliance. I had a proven ability to enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of critical assets. I was committed to minimising downtime and ensuring adherence to industry standards.During the time as Asset Engineer, I was also seconded on two separate occasions to support key activities for the refinery more directly. I was seconded to the Turnaround Department during a $45million turnaround to lead nightshift. I was accountable for technical assurance and coordination of critical and near critical path activities. I was also seconded to the Projects Department for the mechanical engineering lead of the FEED stage of a major project to upgrade a crude distiller pre-heat train and radiant and convection furnaces. This included developing an execution strategy, schedule and costing for the turnaround critical path activities.

As part of the APLNG activities Origin was undertaking in Queensland, there was a $20million project to trial new technology for water aquifer reinjection. As the project mechanical engineer, I was responsible for the mechanical design and construction of this facility. I was accountable for ensuring mechanical completions and transitioned into the commissioning team to ensure the plant was reliable and transitioned to operations.
