Utilizing Dell and HP physical hosts, HPE Nimble, 3PAR, and LeftHand storage and Cisco, HP and Arista networking.Part of a team responsible for vCloud Director 5.X-10.X, Horizon View 5 / 6 / 7, DaaS (Desktone), Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 6.X / 7.X and NetScalers spanning more than eight data center vSphere deployments and 5,500+ VMs .Responsible for implementing and maintaining Veeam Backup systems spanning more than four datacenters containing more than 3,200 VMs. Including Cloud Connect for offsite DRaaS backups and a vCloud integrated Self-Service portal allowing tenants to manage their own backup and restore tasks.Create and update automation batch and PowerShell scripts.Utilize VeeamOne, LogInsight, vROPs and Nagios for performance, capacity planning and preventative maintenance.Utilize Jira for project, ticket, and time management. Compose and maintain system documentation and KBs in Confluence.

Provide Level 2 escalation support for our virtualized and on-site clients.This included building, administering and troubleshooting advanced Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop and VMware View environments.For on-site clients it included managing their hardware and virualized environments with equipment such as Dell and HP Servers connected to HP 3PAR and LeftHand SANs via HP ProCurve, Aruba, Arista and Adtran Switches.Advanced responsibilities included monitoring of hardware used in a multi-tenant environment as well as on-site hardware via MSP services. Creating documentation for Level 1 engineers to increase their ability to assist with issues and continue their growth.

Oversee all aspects of hardware and software infrastructure. Implement, manage and maintain virtual infrastructure (VMware vSphere and Hyper-V). Migrate all physical Servers to virtualization cluster utilizing SAN and NAS storage technologies across a multi-server environment protected by HA and DRS policies. Manage backups of both virtual and physical Servers including tape rotation and offsite backups. Implement, maintain and test disaster recovery procedures. Manage all WAN and LAN networking including edge switches/router, Firewalls and internal switches (HP and Cisco). Apply and calculate QoS policies to accommodate for VoiP, Video and data traffic. Maintain all aspects of the Server / Comm room including cooling, battery backup and generator coverage. Manage remote connectivity over various methods including VPN, Citrix (XenApp, XenDesktop and XenClient) and RDS technologies. Implement and manage load balancing of internal systems/software including websites on IIS and Apache.Manage a separate remote environment with 20+ Servers and 700+ connections that requires 24/7 access and up time. Monitor applications and systems using remote data collectors to evaluate system health and make proactive changes to avoid outages and ensure stability.

Install and service client systems and networks including servers, workstations, and printers. Setup and configure Firewalls and networking to secure data installing VPNs when needed.
