As a native of Louisiana and one that has enjoyed the beauty and bounty of coastal Louisiana, I have been honored to have worked in coastal restoration for the past 40 years. Immediately after finishing graduate school at Mississippi State University, I returned home to work with Jefferson Parish, then the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. My career includes positions with the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, and Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority. I have also had the great fortune to have worked with multiple private sector firms and many exceptional individuals that have chosen to work in the coastal protection and restoration arena. In my current position with Stantec, I work with clients across the country to provide effective and efficient solutions to their coastal resilience challenges.
