I have worked in the Controls and Automation business for over 35+ years and have a great deal of experience in most aspects of this work. Hardware design is my preference.I am very good at developing Drawing Packages and working with Layouts and RWDs. All required areas of Controls Hardware Design (e.g. Power Distribution, Circuit Design, Safety Circuits, PLC and I/O, Enclosure Layout and Bill of Materials). Recent projects have been for General Motors and Gestamp Automotive.Also, I've have worked on the Hardware for Robot Weld Lines for Martinrea and Flex-N-Gate. Engine and Transmission lines for GM and Ford. And Body and Framing jobs for Chrysler and Ford.Before that I did a lot of software, startups, and service/technician work. This was mainly in the Press Metal Industry working with In-Press Transfers, Welders (projection/resistance and robot meg wire feed), and Leak Test Equipment (sonic). Also, worked many years as an electrician wiring panels and running a panel shop as well as running and overseeing the field wiring of all the machines being built at that time. At one time I had all the Electricians and all the Pipe Fitters under my supervision. All Local Travel Acceptable (able to drive home from site). However, only interested in 5-10% of Out of Town Travel, (requiring hotel accommodations). Only Willing to Travel to USA, Canada and Australia. Not Willing to Travel to Mexico.Skilled at Working with: Robot Welding Systems (Body and Framing), Transfer Systems, In-Press Transfers, Leak Test Systems, Engine and Transmission lines (Auto Stations and Transport), Welding Systems (projection/resistance and robot meg wire feed) Strong Background in Pneumatics and Hydraulics Strong Shop/Plant Floor experience and trouble shooting ability. Years of Electrical Field Service (startup and service/technician work) Including Limited Mechanical Field Service. Proficient Computer Skills.
