Profession Training & Coaching was the closest Industry listing, yet, doesn't quite hit the mark. I describe my work as "Emotional Healing and Consciousness Transformation". I started doing this work on myself many years ago. It was the path I took when overwhelmed by emotional pain and suffering. I am grateful for the grace that I experienced at each step and, now, have a passion for helping others along their paths to emotional healing and consciousness transformation.

I help lead 3-day workshops in which, in my words, participants learn conflict resolution, anger management and communication skills through interactive exercises and games. What I think makes this program exceptional are: We volunteer our time, participants are, for the most part, there voluntarily, though we sometimes have participants say that they aren't, we train select inmates to become "inside facilitators", as opposed to being "talking heads", facilitators lead exercises, games and discussions, though the organization's roots are in the Quaker/Friends movement, we don't bring a religious agenda into our workshops.

I have given this precious gift that brings me joy beyond description. I write songs. I play 12- and 6-string acoustic guitar and sing. As of this writing, 8/24/11, I have just returned from a Nonviolent Communication retreat in Columbus, Ohio, held over the weekend. I performed music for the participants, there. My music was received in a way that touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Based on the spoken expressions of appreciation, my intent of moving others through my music was achieved.My music is an extension of my passion for facilitating emotional healing and consciousness transformation in others.
