My current posion is a complex and highly technical position that requires a great deal of technical skill and organizational ability in working with all the various departments, personnel and external contractors in order to maintain the equipment and facilities in support of the objectives. Facilities responsible for 6 plants, 85 buildings and 4,052,344 square feet of floor space and over 36,000 pieces or machinery and equipment. Technical specialty requiring the incumbent to have a very large span of knowledge in order to staff, plan and direct this diverse group. Systems based such as PLC’s, Micro-processors, Building Automation, CNC machining equipment with mulible large complex components comprising in a single machine, such as large Multi-Axis machining centers with tool changers and pallet shuttles, panel routers, ply cutters, core carver and automatic tape layers. Additional activities include large facilities rearrangements, machinery relocations and refurbishing projects. Portions of these tasks are accomplished with sub-contractors, which requires performing the engineering, development of specifications, plan pre-bidding, and overall direction of the project until it is completed satisfactorily. Works closely with and provides recommendations to Plant Engineering, Plant Layout Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Management for facil¬ity related issues. Subcontractors include machine tool builders, electronic firms, HVAC equipment firms, Engineering firms, and specialty firms among others. The incumbent is required to plan and schedule his organizations overtime, safety policy is being followed, track performance or Trouble Tickets, administer the Preventative Maintenance program, make improvements under the ISO 9001 program. electrical high voltage sub-stations and electrical distribution system, water and natural gas service, HVAC equipment, industrial waste plants, plumbing, roofs, cafeterias and office areas.
