Day to day operations consisted of bulk earth excavation, sewer and water main installations, road cut excavation with sub drains, excavations for piers and footings, the pumping of water, granular placement and fine grading, gps rover layout and quality control, safety and toolbox talks, as well as daily scheduling meetings with the team. The company decided to explore a new endeavour to them by placing concrete open graded drainage layer prior to concrete and asphalt pavement. I was in charge of operations and participated full time in the placement of the OGDL from end to end of this entire project. Along with the OGDL operations I was also in charge of organizing and completing the installation of the OGDL sub drains and tie-ins. When nearing completion of the project I was giving the task of overseeing the completion of the deficiency list complied over the course of the four years we were on the project. At the end of 2015 to present I have been part of our team working on the the Early Works Project for The Gordie Howe bridge project. Mostly supervision of granular placement as well as topsoil stripping. A large part of my duties to date on the project was overseeing the excavation of the Broadway Drain which was a highly sensitive environmental operation as it tied into the Detroit River. This Drain consists of a sheet piling channel, two large box culvert crossings, a rock jetty, snake hybernaculums, and a number of rock vine fish habitats. This operation involved working closely with our environmental team as well as the safety department and was completed very successfully. I was also in charge of the operations in Fort McKay Alberta at Albion sands as a sub contract to Ledcor. Paved asphalt on numerous MTO jobs. Did winter repairs on the asphalt and concrete plants. My employment at Coco started in 2011 due to the purchase of a previous company that I worked for called Dunn Paving.

I became the Grinding and Paving Forman in 2004. I worked on various jobs including MTO as well as the Windsor airport runway extension. In 2006 I was put in charge of heading up and developing a new endeavour for the company with their road recycling operation.
