Responsible for a team of data specialists with a goal of driving best practice for delivering data products utilizing our class leading actuarial software Integrate.

Data Lead within the Global Platform Engineering team. My responsibilities were to manage and support the Platform Engineering Data Engineers and UK Data team, while devising and implementing key strategic data initiatives to support Iress adoption of cloud technologies and full automation.Key success was the design and implementation of the Iress Data Platform (IDP) with support of the Global Platform Engineering team. The IDP enables teams to onboard into cloud in minutes rather than days or weeks. Included in the pattern was automated deployments to any environment in any region, automated testing, automated vulnerability management, integrated monitoring and observability and the ingestion, storage, processing and egress of data via visualization and dashboarding tools. The IDP was used to reimagine a legacy application from our hosted data centers into a cloud native fully automated and scalable client facing analytics solution. With this success, the IDP has become the strategic analytics platform at Iress. Subsequently all new strategic analytics workloads are planned to benefit from it's adoption.

The Lead Data Architect, responsible for all elements of data lifecycle and management covering flagship products for our Tier 1 financial clients. This is very much a hands on role with end to end data and database responsibility from infrastructure, configuration, design, development and support. Also direct team management of the MI/BI team, data Architects and DBAs in the UK. Just finished a 12 month program to re-engineer the existing 5TB data warehouse. This was completed with no disruption to existing reporting or customers, and achieved the following benefits:Reduced DWH size, Improved performance, improved speed to market for all reporting, improved resilience, increased scale-ability. Produced a scale-able, repeatable global model. Supporting our Operations teams by introducing new ways of working, troubleshooting, monitoring and reporting on production data issues.

Working between the Architecture team and the Proposal Production team for a major public sector client. Key activities include:- Responsible for quality and efficiency in the Estimating team.- Escalation point for Architecture related issues in PPT.- Deputy Microsoft capability lead- Managing new talent (apprentice programme) within the account.

Working for a major government account as the Data TDA advising on all aspects of SQL implimentation, administration, standards and assisting with the design and development new SQL and Data related projects.

Working for the LSC as a SQL server consultant advising on all aspects of SQL implimentation, administration, standards and assisting with development projects where needed.
