Helix Education is an online program management (OPM) provider in the higher education industry, offering enrollment and academic services to its clients. I was an enrollment advisor contracted with National Louis University in Chicago, Illinois. My role was to have conversations with prospective students to generate new enrollments. I created and maintained professional relationships with students and supported them through the enrollment process and their first class. This process was supported by written and verbal communication channels that allowed me to continue to develop my marketing communication skills.

I created a graduate team initiative that addressed an enrollment bottleneck and provided immediate results based on an actionable and collaborative process. I was awarded for the highest student retention rate and had the highest Net Promoter Score (NPS) for three consecutive quarters. I was selected as the top 5% of the organization to make up the specialized services team and created interdepartmental and cross-functional training materials. I assisted in creating the company's neighborhood marketing system using publicly available data to mail sales letters to specific neighborhoods being targeted. I tracked the revenue results and type of sales using an Access database. While the sales letters provided a positive marketing ROI, it was only at a 3:1 ratio because most conversions were for service calls instead of new unit installations. In search of a higher ROI, based on this data, I decided to create a newsletter to mail to the company's existing customer database, as they were already familiar with our brand and service standards. The newsletter generated a 5:1 marketing ROI through new unit installations.I also created a marketing initiative called "The Risk-Free 3 Guarantees" and created corresponding marketing assets as leave-behinds for sales calls. Additionally, I created door hangers and customer surveys to further support the company's neighborhood marketing system.
