As Senior Advanced Project Engineer in the Military Fixed Wing Propulsion Department I performed several roles spanning from advanced technology projects to new product introduction programs to production support.I studied advanced manufacturing technologies to improve performance, component durability, reduce manufacturing complexity, and life cycle costs. The technologies studied included direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) additive manufacturing, direct energy deposition (DED) additive manufacturing, oxide-oxide ceramic matrix composites (CMC), ceramic stereolithography (CSL) tooling, and printed sand tooling.My NPI role was the F124 power section modification lead for an undisclosed application. Our team delivered a quick turnaround preliminary design by focusing on KPPs and agile project management meeting our customers speed to ramp objectives.My role in production support I was design authority project engineer responsible for engineering part assessments for transitions. Led engineering team responsible for supporting gearbox casting supplier recovery.
