About Steve Morrison

Having worked in the game development industry for nearly 30 years I have gained experience in a wide variety of skills that allow me to take on a diverse set of art development and art management roles.Building on my strong training in traditional art creation at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen I have worked as a 2D Concept Artist, a 3D Modeller, an Animator, Level and Game Designer and a VFX artist. My experience means that I am capable of managing and directing large teams of Artists across multiple art disciplines. I also have extensive experience working with and managing outsourced content creation and I have also acted as a mentor to interns helping them build experience and also to develop their skill sets.With strong communications skills I work very effectively with all disciplines on a development team. My work ethic is second to none and I commit fully to all projects that I'm asked to tackle no matter their size and scope. I enjoy learning new processes and styles of game making and I'm always looking to grow and improve my set of skills. I adapt easily to new situations and with an outgoing and polite nature I'm recognised as a go to guy for creative thinking and problem solving.I have developed a familiar and approachable management style that allows me to work effectively and flexibly to get the most out of any art team that I work with. I believe focused planning, process development and strong communication within a dev team are essential to providing the highest quality results no matter what the scope or time frame of a project.
