Californian polymath Steve Nalepa is known for his vast and eclectic array of artistic collaborators. He releases music with his bands The Acid, Airspace, and Sunfeels, writes and produces with artists ranging from KÁRYYN to R.A.P. Ferreira, and is a founding member of the esteemed beat collective TeamSupreme. Nalepa is a key node in the electronic music scene, cultivated through years of creating music, producing events, and mentoring many of today’s top artists in Ableton Live. He has published award-­winning art books through the self-­launched Dilettante Press, scored several feature-length documentary films, and devised and engineered Ableton Live rigs for acts such as Blood Orange, MGMT, Chet Faker, Little Simz, Drake & The Weeknd. With his various projects, he has performed at festivals and events around the world, from Glastonbury to the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony.Nalepa has produced tracks with such legends as Bill Laswell, Lili Haydn and Pharoah Sanders, worked with the LA Philharmonic, shared a bill with Amon Tobin and DJ Spooky at Walt Disney Concert Hall, hosted Flavorpill's Friday's Off the 405 Series at the Getty Museum and performed on The Do Lab Stage at Coachella 2007. Nalepa is one of the artists featured in Visionaire 53 SOUND which includes 100 original sound pieces by David Byrne, U2, Danger Mouse, Bebel Gilberto, Yoko Ono, Christian Marclay and more.
