I served as a international volunteer through the ELCA in Southern Africa. While in South Africa, I provided IT support in the headquarters of the South-Eastern Diocese of the ELCSA, assisted in several primary and secondary schools, and volunteered in a rural hospital.

I worked as a laboratory assistant in the Chemistry Department at Valparaiso University.

I tutored students in Valparaiso University's College of Engineering in a variety of engineering and science related courses.

I worked on a variety of mechanical engineering projects in the Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. These projects included the EA-18G, ALQ-99, Next Generation Jammer, ALE-43, and ITALD-J. I also performed CAD work and developed two original designs.
