About Steve Ogburn

At work and in all areas of my life, I believe I can positively affect the people around me. I always try to bring out the best in others and have a hidden talent for building teams. I enjoy knowing the right people are on the bus and sitting in the right seat. If a lack of training or reluctance to ask questions is preventing my team from working at our best, I take initiative to address knowledge and skill gaps and open up lines of communication.I also care a lot about customers and clients. I am always willing to go above and beyond to complete projects on time and within budget. Motivation comes easily for me and I naturally seem to motivate others. My project management experience spans work with a small physical security installer/servicer to a multinational Internet provider that was acquired by CenturyLink to a global provider of communication infrastructure services. My work ethic, positive attitude, and overall aptitude has resulted in promotions at every company over the past seven years. I’m often assigned to key accounts and chosen to be the point-of-contact for escalated issues. Part of my job as a project manager is to make operational improvements and remove bottlenecks. For example, at Level 3 I helped shave days off circuit installation and network augmentation timelines by streamlining redundant procedures. I made customers happy and improved their ROI by ensuring that most projects were delivered in less than 30 days rather than 45 days (as documented by the SLA).
