In this capacity, I afforded IT managerial leadership and oversight in the setup of a new greenfield production facility and infrastructure for the manufacture of automotive components for Jaguar Land Rover and Toyota, and provided continuing direction and managerial expertise in the provision of 1st and 2nd level support for the ERP system. Directed the upgrade of the locally developed JIT computer system based on Microsoft Access and VB6, and liaised with T-Systems and the IT Business Group to provide network solutions based on a .Net Framework and a Microsoft SQL database. Ensured provision by the IT team of 1st level support for the BPCS ERP software system.

Responsibility for administering the UK AS/400 systems, including performance monitoring, system upgrades, capacity planning and Disaster Recovery Planning at the JIT production plant supplying automotive parts to Toyota, Rover, GM, and Nissan manufacturing facilities. Providing IT support for the migration of the NT server infrastructure, and completed upgrades to the Active Directory architecture. Assisted network infrastructure initiatives across all manufacturing and Commercial Offices and supported Lotus Notes capabilities with migration to a Microsoft Exchange locally and centrally. Performed monitoring and capacity planning for upgrades at two production facilities and support infrastructure initiatives across all manufacturing Sites and Commercial Offices. Liaised with the Office Automation tram to improve support for the NT server infrastructure and carried our migrations to Active Directory architecture to all United Kingdom sites. Provided IT expertise to the Advanced Sequencing Centre for Nissan Cockpits in the Running of XJIT on the NT platform.
