GTT are a global Tier 1 carrier providing Cloud and managed bandwidth services and Security/PCI compliant solutions to both carriers and Enterprise customers globally.As a senior pre-sales consultant at GTT my role is primarily focused on providing pre-sales technical support to the Enterprise sales team in securing business with Global Enterprise customers, especially within the managed services portfolio. GTT have made a number of acquisitions within the past 12 months, which have expanded their portfolio and service offerings enabling the delivery of more integrated and complimentary solutions to Enterprise customers.In addition to my pre-sales role at GTT I have also been instrumental in the development of products within the CSP (Cloud Service Provider) leveraging GTT’s Tier 1 carrier status to enable customers to reach the Cloud and CSPs more easily. This included working with the Data Centre provider Equinix to deliver end-to-end managed cloud services to Enterprise customers.Achievements• Worked with Infosys a GTT Partner to help shape and design a global Data Centre network solution for Reckitt Benckiser. The Infosys and GTT partnership was forged due to GTT’s global networking capabilities and their ability to provide a fully integrated private cloud solution.

Solutions Consultant - During my time at Kcom, I have worked with many high profile customers across a number of sector verticals.Achievements:Appointed as the lead WAN design consultant for NFUM, working with the NFUM technical team to deliver a WAN solution to their insurance brokers and regional offices across the UK. Solution comprised of a novate and migrate strategy by novating existing services across to Kcom and then migrating these services to newer and more fit for purpose technology. This involved migrating their current network connections from 20-21CN and also migrating their core sites to 21CN technology to better leverage economies of scale whilst deploying a future proofed network technology.Lead Solutions Consultant for Mercedes Benz, working with the technical team at Mercedes in re-designing their owned and franchise dealer network comprising of 300 sites across the UK, to better leverage emerging technologies and lower their TCO. The change in technology was driven by their requirement to rollout new applications which demanded an increase in available bandwidth across the WAN. This involved deploying a bespoke WAN solution for their franchise and owned dealer network. Also consulted with Mercedes Benz in scoping an APM (Application performance management) solution which also drove the Kcom portfolio product development for APM.

Technical Consultant at Vanco Plc working with high profile Enterprise customer accounts in providing high level designs through to the delivery of complex and bespoke technical solutions.Achievements∗ Lead Technical Consultant for DeVere Hotels. Worked closely with DeVere in redesigning their UK network to address both their commercial and technical requirements in the rollout of new applications including Citrix. Successfully migrated their UK network from a Frame Relay to a Private ADSL network.∗ Assessed and redesigned the Tibbett & Britten European Network to accommodate their growing bandwidth demands, and also meet their commercial requirements in reducing cost to the business. Consulted in the migration of their UK Operation to a Private ADSL Network, whilst advising the migration of their European Wide Area Network to an IPSec IP-VPN network topology.∗ Technical Lead for Smiths Group in the design and deployment of a Global IP-Sec VPN. Provided consultancy services to identify a detailed network design for their US, European and Asia Pac business networks. Worked closely and facilitated meetings with MCI to converge both their existing MPLS and IP-Sec networks.∗ Provided consultancy services to Christian Salvesen to assess the migration of their European network to xDSL technology, whilst still maintaining high availability SLA’s to all network locations. Assessed the merits of Policy based routing across their network connections Vs their overall business requirements.

Achievements:∗ Lead Technical Consultant for the Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Global Internet Access Network of which all sites to date have been successfully implemented. Worked closely with Dresdner to assess their global bandwidth requirements in line with their business and commercial needs. Also worked with Dresdner to assess options for BGP configuration within the network.∗ Rationalised and redesigned the Total Fina Elf European Data network, to more effectively utilise both international and domestic bandwidth, thereby reducing overall costs to the business.∗ Assessed and redesigned the AXA financial services global internet access network to accommodate their growing internal customer demands. Consulted with AXA to develop and deliver a managed network solution providing them with high end Cisco equipment for internet access.∗ Lead Technical Consultant for the Peugeot/Citroen Network. Rationalised and redesigned their global wide area network thereby reducing international bandwidth costs.

Achievements:∗ Lead Technical Consultant for the Invensys network with over 1200 sites in Europe successfully implemented. Facilitated European roadshows and technical design workshops to assess Invensys’ future networking requirements.∗ Rationalised the Merril Lynch London data network to effectively use WorldCom infrastructure and fibre, thereby reducing the overall bandwidth costs to Merril Lynch.∗ Lead Technical Consultant for the EMI Music Network. Worked closely with EMI to reassess their business requirements and subsequently redesign their global wide area network, successfully implementing an ATM and Frame Relay hybrid network solution and meeting both their technical and commercial requirements.

Achievements:∗ Identified and successfully delivered the information systems technical design for broadcast services overseas data networks.∗ Designed, tested and successfully delivered the alarm management network for DVB (Digital Video Broadcast) customers.∗ Developed and redesigned broadcast customer data networks which involved working closely with 3Com and Cisco in identifying appropriate design solutions.∗ Technical design authority and Project Manager for file server upgrade project, which was delivered on-time and within budget.

Achievements:∗ Site Manager, Leagas Shafron Davis: Responsible for day-to-day running and management of IT systems including PC and Macintosh based systems. Responsible for testing and implementing new technologies when requested by the customer.∗ Project Consultant, Ammariti Puris Lintas: Lead project consultant for MPEG Transfer project. Responsible for the design, testing and migration of Lintas agency video material from analogue Umatic tapes to MPEG2. Responsible for reviewing storage solutions to accommodate MPEG2 data files.∗ Senior Site Manager, Bartle Bogle Hegarty: Responsible for 8 site engineers covering 6 sites and 700 users. Main responsibilities were to ensure that sufficient IT resources were in place across all business locations (6 in total). Managed the team’s day-to-day activities ensuring the consistent delivery of business services to the Advertising group. Responsible for each individual’s personal development, working closely with HR to identify appropriate action plans. Worked closeley with the Groups IT Director in providing consultancy services on implementing new technologies and planning future IT budgets and strategies.

Achievements:∗ Responsible for the day-to-day support of IT systems. Supported a cross platform environment of both PC and Macintosh systems, delivering solutions to technical issues daily.∗ Managed and implemented a Novell 3.12 Netware network successfully and within timescales.
