At Safeway, I've had the opportunity to develop my customer service including conflict resolution with challenging customers, ie, drunk people trying to purchase alcohol at 2:05 in the morning.Machines can break down every once in a while so I also expanded my skills by managing preventative maintenance on two aisles of freezers. There was also the opportunity to be responsible for projecting and ordering for weekly sales, which was dependent upon me to multitask the inventory, project the anticipated sales and order correctly.This only required me to process the incoming inventory, including data entry, tagging and placement of goods.And since I was ordering and shelving the product, I also needed to train in safe lifting techniques for products weighing up to 60 lbs.
