Breed entered Chapt. 11 bankruptcy in 2001 and exited in 2003 and was renamed Key Safety SystemsI held the following roles during this timeframe:Manager of Manufacturing Stategy.Develop a manufacturing strategy for inflators. Determine the most cost effective use of capital, floor space, & resources.Review all quotations to insure appropriate manufacturing processes and locations are utilized.Breed's use of purchased inflators decreased 45% between 2002 and 2006 saving approximately $25M.Breed began manufacture of inflators in Europe in 2003, saving $3M annually.Product Launch Manager.Act as a single point of contact for the 'launch' status of all programs within the airbag division.Track and manage the available capacities within the plants to insure effective utilization of capital.Engineering Manager, inflator applications.Managed a group of 10 engineers and designers responsible for the design and development of Breed inflators.Responsibilities encompassed maintenance of existing Azide based inflators and the development and launch of Breed's first non-azide based inflator.
