I have been in a Global Services Consulting role now for over 21 years concentrating on Services Technology and New Product Introduction. This position entails working with a wide audience both internal and external. Day to day activities include working closely with System Architects, Mechanical Design, Supply Chain, OEM's, Cabinet Suppliers, Fiber Manufacturers, Documentation, Learning/Training, Sales Engineering, CSAM's and Customer Support teams.In this role I am responsible for validating and assessing all new products from the initial Design paper concept stage right through to final Pilot product acceptance. This includes performing installation assessments on all new prototype equipment in a lab environment giving feedback to the design teams and attending all Internal Project Management meetings. During the various milestones of a new product, I working closely with the Technical Publications team and review/validate all Customer Installation Documentation. Other activities include reviewing Training/Learning material, and generating Time Standards for Services Customer Quotations.Once a product becomes General Available (GA) I am responsible for traveling to all Global regions (APAC, EMEA, NA, CALA) to perform First Office Applications (FOA's) at customer sites to ensure our product is installed correctly and that our Installation Service Partners have been fully enabled. During this time on site, I prepare new product Best Practices that are used Globally by our Service Partners for future deployments.
