I manage Heart of the City Farmers' Market, an independent, farmer operated, non-profit market in downtown San Francisco. Our market distributes over $2 million annually in food assistance for low-income households in San Francisco's Civic Center area, enabling them to purchase more fresh, healthy produce while supporting our small farmers. We have the largest farmers' market EBT program in California.

I helped create an organic urban farm in the Potrero Hill Terrace & Annex public housing complex. The farm provides free organic produce to all residents of the PT&A, who do not have easy access to fresh produce and suffer from high levels of food related illness. At the Texas Street Farm, I have demonstrated skills in garden maintenance, irrigation, construction, permaculture methods, fruit tree care, plant propagation, and native/drought resistant planting. I teach garden classes to adults and children bi-weekly and lead and participate in community building activities.

I taught gardening and nutrition classes to children grades 2-5 for an after school program.
