Integrate customer feedback on current product lines to tailor product offerings to their needs and desires.Manage Portfolio of R&D projects to further develop and improve product offerings. This includes OEM and non-OEM products.Product line responsibilities include integrating products developed for other markets into the American market, and managing global product lines include strategies for all markets.

Responsible for management of 12 employees supporting operating Steam Turbine fleet as back office Design Engineering office. Responsible for transition of organization consisting of over 50% of employees having over 20 years of experience as a result of planned retirements. Internal and External customers report little drop in quality of support.Section is responsible for assisting units in their return to service for unplanned outages as well as evaluation of root causes. Root Cause investigations can address single unit issues, as well as issues affecting fleet of units. Root Cause team is responsible to determine root cause, evaluate if other units are impacted, develop solution, and perform validation of solution. Manage Performance Maintenance R&D program for Americas. Typical budget of $1.8 Million split over 20 projects. Utilize part time Technical Project Leads to conduct funded research projects while keeping program portfolio to within 5% of original budget. Responsible for development of portfolio, working with Marketing Managers to develop business cases, and managing scope changes within projects. Earned Managing of Successful Programmes Practitioner (MSP) certification from APMG international, and PMP certification from PMI.

Responsible for all Order Management responsibility’s for 2 emergency outage situations. Managed interfaces between Engineering, supply management and Manufacturing to insure success. Responsible for all supply management aspects for titanium blade manufacturing program within organization. Responsible for Project Management of the Design and Manufacture of Steam Turbine and Condenser Projects. Responsible for the profit or loss of all projects assigned. Projects assigned include New Construction and Retrofit projects in South America, and Canada. Projects require management of multinational remote teams. Manage teams regularly including members from Europe, North and South America. Project assignments include high risk projects usually with significant R&D component involved. Managed qualification of new Condenser manufacturer in Mexico. Activities include management of on site inspector, introduction of vendor to Siemens procedures, and oversight of manufacturing process. Purchasing required coordination of organizations from 3 different countries.

Serve as Assistant General Project Manager for a $221 Million combined cycle Gas Turbine Equipment Supply Project within a Matrixed Project Organization.Served as the primary technical interface between the Siemens Westinghouse and the Owner and Architect Engineer. Other responsibilities include resolving Design Issues raised by the Architect Engineer with other divisions of the Company. Responsible for all technical aspects for the project including providing design information to the Owner (National Energy Group), and Constructor/Architect Engineer (Bechtel Power Corporation) in an accurate and timely manner. Managed the warranty for the project after construction. Served as sole contact for claims. Responsible for the negotiation of the claim with the customer. Managed the repair of applicable issues remotely. Resolved issues to the best interest of the company while maintaining a good rapport with the customer. Managed 12 major repair outages required for the completion of the project. Final costs of one major outage with a budget of $6 Million were 90% of budget. Negotiated the elimination of over $10 Million of LD exposure to Siemens for repair activities. Awarded Performance Award for this negotiation.

Coordinated all aspects of the storage and transport of three gas turbine engines. Functioned as the customer contact for task team. Coordinated engineering requirements, action item database, review of options with customer, and final selection of plan.Manage and coordinate all functions in support of Product Modifications materials. Directing the support for the first and second 501G gas turbines produced. Ensure materials are procured, coordinate with suppliers to meet schedule, track materials, and support site as needed. Successfully supporting over four hundred (400) Product Modifications with the majority required materials on an emergency basis. Responsible for the coordination of purchasing, scheduling/planning, quality, factory support, transportation, and site materials control in support of customer needs.
