I have over 27 years operational policing experience. Proud to be the Commander in Reading and all the challenges it will bring.My main operational experience is in relation to managing high profile investigations and I have overseen serious sexual assault, series crime and homicide investigations. I have also successfully managed larger scale operations dealing with child sexual exploitation; combining my investigation and management skills with an understanding of reputational risk. I have a proven track record of being able to plan and organise policing operations which are complex. I use my negotiation skills to understand competing demands and perspectives of other agencies.I have management and leadership experience at all levels. I am a calm and forward thinking person, able to operate both on a creative and tactical level. I am confident working under pressure and I am able to quickly identify areas which may become critical and have potential to cause reputational damage. As such, I have experience dealing with crisis management and problem solving.
