I am driven to bring the expansive resources of IMEG together with collaborative business partners to help Federal agencies of all types succeed in their mission, delivering high quality results entire teams can be proud of. My prior military service and my connections to family and friends who have served (and continue to serve) motivates me to support military programs and the programs of all Federal agencies. I greatly appreciate strong relationships with clients and business partners.I am a licensed professional mechanical engineer and have devoted my entire career to IMEG and one of its founding companies, KJWW. My military background in nuclear propulsion plant operations and thermal systems helped me accelerate my industry involvement, design capability, as well as team and corporate leadership. I believe in empowering highly capable people, then getting out of their way. I have designed projects of all types, led discipline-specific design teams, led multi-discipline project teams, led entire company offices, and now lead IMEG’s corporate-wide Federal market.

Steve Rhoades, PE, LEED AP is IMEG's Vice President of Market Development & Federal Solutions and a Principal of the firm. He is a licensed mechanical engineer with more than 30 years of experience. He began his career by enlisting in the US Navy Nuclear propulsion program, where he served as a Machinist Mate and Nuclear Propulsion Plant Emergency Welder on a nuclear submarine, and completed his education in mechanical engineering at Iowa State University. Steve coordinates IMEG's broad experience and capabilities serving agencies in the Federal Market, expands existing and builds new relationships with Federal agencies and strategic teaming partners, and strategizes across IMEG's geography and offices for delivering engineering solutions for Federal agencies CONUS and OCONUS. He has worked heavily with Federal clients for more than 15 years and continues to grow IMEG's capabilities for working with Federal clients.

Worked with the Principal Investigator and advanced degree candidates (Masters & PhD) performing research in the Mechanical Engineering Department Heat Transfer laboratory. Duties included design of testing systems, selecting and procuring equipment, programming data collection software, running experiments, collecting and processing data collection.
