The company grew from 3 to 35 employees in that time and was acquired by Novartis Pharma AG in Dec 2012. My key responsibilities were development of the core technology, building the R&D group, development of instrumentation, cartridge design, novel carbon particle bioconjugates and the algorithms used for data analysis. I was also heavily involved in building the IP portfolio, including 17 patent applications that have been filed, 9 of which have been granted.
