I jointly supervised the factory responsible for circa 80 employees as well as all aspects of procurement allowing me to build strong relationships throughout the supply chain. As well as overseeing production and all aspects of HR I developed several continuous improvement initiatives which are still evident within the business today.This role enabled me to build and enhance my people skills and to promote best place to work practises, improving attrition and retention.

Managing a team of 5 people and been responsible for their performance individually and collectively as well as their quality, time keeping and attendance and Health and Safety.I also liaised with my Supervisor on their training needs and development.

Training employees on the full range of products as well as new recruits who either had the skills but had no experience of our product ranger or, people who were starting from scratch within the industry.Once fully trained they would join the main production team.

Upholstering the full range of furniture to include fireside chairs, recliners and sofas on a piece work basis.
