About Steve Sampson
I am a certified public accountant with an accounting degree from DePaul University in Chicago. I began my career in public accounting before spending several years in the graphic arts equipment industry as an internal auditor and accounting manager. I then changed my focus to the international offshore drilling industry and over the past 23 years have held assignments in Portugal, Brazil, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore and the United States.

I developed procedures to improve the accuracy of the financial reporting and cash management including procedures to accurately monitor and account for currency hedge contracts. I managed the service accounting for the installation of equipment and the warranty reserves for the division including negotiation of recovery of certain excess costs from the parent company. I also designed a system to improve the accuracy of estimated profitability of proposed equipment sales.
