Equilease is an established lease financing company offering equipment financing solutions to businesses across Canada.

As founder of Element Financial Corporation in 2007, Steve was instrumental in developing the business platform and guiding Element through the liquidity crisis of 2008/2009. After several successive private equity transactions, Element went public on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2012, during which time Steve maintained an executive management position as Chief Credit Officer of the Company. His role included oversight of the organic and acquisitive growth strategy across North America which spanned 10 acquisitions and grew the balance sheet to approximately $25 billion dollars.Element Financial was separated into two public companies (Element Fleet Management & ECN Capital Corp) in 2016 and Steve continued to provide leadership of all credit underwriting and risk management functions for ECN Capital’s Commercial & Vendor assets until the sale to Canadian Western Bank in 2018.
