Since 1996, Steve Sayler is a principal in the Law Offices of Steven C. Sayler & Assoicates. He received his B.A. from the University of California in Santa Barbara in 1974, an M.P.H. in hospital administration from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1977, and his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1986. Steve grew up in Northern California, in Los Altos, and graduated from Homestead High School in 1970.During the seven-year period prior to beginning law school in 1983, Mr. Sayler worked in both the nonprofit and for-profit acute care hospital sector in various administrative capacities from assistant administrator to executive director.From 1986 to the present, Mr. Sayler has worked on a wide variety of litigation matters, and has tried and arbitrated numerous cases. Mr. Sayler has represented plaintiffs as well as defendants in claims involving business and commercial matters, property damage, contract and lease disputes, property law and construction defect issues representing contractors, sub-contractors, materialmen and owners. He has taught a number of classes for San Diego State University's construction law curriculum.In addition to litigation, Mr. Sayler works with a number of small businesses on employment matters, leases, buy-sell agreements, contract terms and conditions, independent contractor agreements, formation of corporations and partnerships and other general business/legal issues.Mr. Sayler has been active in other professional and civic organizations, including the Sunrise Rotary Club of Rancho Bernardo and the Building Industry Association of San Diego.Mr. Sayler enjoys spending time with his wife Karen and their two adult children, Derek and Brent. Mr. Sayler is an avid tennis player, and enjoys most sports, including golf, skiing and scuba diving.
