Mr. Scott is a GIS specialist with the Township of Wilmot. He has considerable experience with a wide variety of field data collection applications with a notable interest in bathymetric surveys (utilizing a SonarMite Echo Sounder integrated with GPS), stormwater management facility asset condition assessments/inspections, topographic surveys (aquatic and terrestrial), small and large scale property boundary surveys, road infrastructure surveys, building and construction layouts, and aerial photogrammetry/drone surveys. Mr. Scott primarily uses a Trimble S5 Total Station along with TSC3 GPS Data Collectors paired with R12i GNSS System on the Can-Net Virtual Reference System. He also leads field work operations for several monitoring programs as a water quality/quantity field technician with experience working with Acoustic Doppler velocimeters (ADVs), YSI water quality sensors, and a variety of surface water data loggers (including temperature, water level, turbidity, rainfall, and telemetry stations).Mr. Scott has personally designed and developed digital inspection forms in order to record field-collected data, photos, and comments for each type of work he performs using a variety of softwares (ex. Fulcrum, ArcGIS Collector, iAuditor, Survey123). Most notably, he has developed a detailed inspection form that provides a City-wide inventory and condition assessment of stormwater management pond features (ex. inlets, outlets, deficiencies) that can be easily integrated into a GIS database and allow for chronological tracking of condition degradation or feature repairs/retrofits. He also has experience producing mapping for floodplain analysis studies, subwatershed planning, stormwater management, and water/wastewater infrastructure-related projects. He has experience with a variety of GIS (ArcGIS, MapInfo, and Manifold), remote sensing (IDRISI, PCI Geomatica, and ENVI), CAD (Civil3D), and database management applications. With his considerable experience with a variety of field work practices and data collection methods, Mr. Scott is highly involved with proposal writing, budget development, field program planning and design, and project management.
