Disneyland Resort

I currently provide many leadership roles for the Resort's Horticulture and Resort Enhancement department. My main role is the management of the Structural and Ornamental pest management programs covering all 500+ acres of the Resort. Our Structural pest management team provides pest control services to the Resort 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We provide services for over 125 restaurants and practically every other location that are spread across two theme parks, a shopping district and three resort hotels. The ornamental pest management team helps keep the show looking great by protecting the Resorts landscaping assets by providing services for insect and fungal control, disease suppression and nutritional needs of the plants across the Resort. I am licensed in both types of pest management and actively participate in continuing education in both fields.I also fill an important leadership role for our Safety team. My passion for problem solving, raising awareness the desire that no one gets hurt, helped our teams perform their roles with greater safety and knowledge on and off the job Our department reduced the number of occupational incidents by over 75% the first year I was actively involved and we still seek continual improvements today. I also took on the majority responsibility of the departments training programs to ensure our Cast remain engaged and have developmental opportunities. Our compliance with OSHA mandated training and regulation updates also improved exponentially after implementing the program I developed to ensure our Cast was receiving the proper training efficiently. I also manage the day to day oversight of the landscaped areas maintained by outside vendors. I have also worked on developing the scope of services, awarding contracts, budget management, and landscape design to maintain the best possible show to the area landscaping.

While providing leadership for an incredibly diverse group of Cast Members, I was responsible for the nightly deployment of 100+ employees to perform the custodial duties required for all food establishments, retail locations, public restrooms, and attractions of Disney California Adventure theme park. Incremental leadership responsibilities grew from a team of 30 hourly cast members to leading a team of 5 salaried leaders and over 180 hourly cast in a period of less than three years.

Responsible for handling all pest related calls and development of long range plans to effectively reduce pest problems at the Resort.

Chino

Responsible for selling pest management products and solutions for homeowners, contractors, and property managers.Specialized in aesthetic, effective and permanent solutions to bird pest problems, mainly through structure modifications.

Camp Lejeune, Nc

Served with the 2nd AAV Battalion from 1990 to 1993. Also served in the first Gulf War in Operation Desert Storm.
