Senior Project Manager
In this position I have managed multiple concurrent construction projects budgeted at approximately Thirty-one million dollars. Large projects include the Middle School Conversion project, a fast tracked, design-build project with a large amount of complex renovation to existing, previously renovated, buildings. This project included new science labs, dance studios, interior and exterior TI work, ADA improvements, roof replacement, and MEP upgrades, including the installation of a state of the art mechanical system for Tubman Middle School. These also included various emergency response projects including fire, flooding, and mold damage mitigation work. Working on these projects I worked directly with various district personnel, school user groups, parent teacher associations, members of the public, contractors, architects, and engineers to balance various groups’ needs while maintaining project budgets and schedules. I also Gained in-depth experience working with various departments in the City of Portland to permit and inspect projects through both the facilities and commercial permitting programs, as well as participating in the City’s conditional use and design review process for projects with large and complex scopes. A critical piece of my success on these projects has been maintaining open lines of communication between school principals, district personnel, building user groups, district management, contractors, parent teacher association groups, and multiple public committees and neighborhood associations to seek input from all associated groups and to keep them informed of project goals, timelines, status, and delays on a regular basis.

I also worked to coordinate the mechanical portion of tenant/landlord contracts for national account owners, including tenant/landlord lease negotiations, design development of tenant space, and inspections of landlord portion of construction work. Finally, I maintained clear lines of communication between field teams, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in remote job sites in various different geographic areas to deliver all project on time and under budget.
