We provide full services from R&D plans and project development to detailed engineering designs.We are currently demonstrating a microalgae based, carbon negative sewage reclamation process at a UK wastewater treatment works. The system is carrying out combined secondary, tertiary and quaternary treatment (removing organic load, nutrients, pharmaceuticals, hormone disrupting compounds, heavy metals, pathogens and micro-plastics) in a single stage. Proposer and principal investigator- Technology Strategy Board funded project (£1.9m) in collaboration with Boots, BASF & Carlton Power: Microalgal genetic tool-kit development and carbon capture based microalgal biorefinery production of petroleum replacement biochemicals.Proprietary biomass is produced in a 16000 litre photobioreactor directly coupled to a power plant emission stack. Steve's photobioreactor technology IP is employed by the project under licence.
