Steve Skinner is a freelance consultant, supporting business, charity and public sector organisations across the UK. Based in Bradford, Steve provides a range of services and support, tailor-made depending on organisational needs. As well as a range of projects in Wakefield, Bolton and Sheffield, he is currently coaching business leaders through the Leeds Beckett Business Boost programme. He was formerly a senior manager in Bradford Council and Bradford University. Steve also acted as an adviser to the Home Office and HM Treasury on capacity building and is the author of several books and toolkits on leadership, community engagement, organisational change and evaluation.Steve is a qualified trainer and mentor, has an MA in Community and Social Work, which included management and research skills, and a Professional Diploma in Managing in the Community. He has received training in evaluation methods, counselling, coaching, team building, presentation and facilitation skills.Steve has extensive skills and experience in facilitation, training design and delivery, coaching, mentoring, editing and research. He is renowned for having very effective people skills and is a good communicator, both in writing and verbally. He has forty years of experience to draw on, plus extensive training and higher education.Steve has travelled widely and has experience of a wide range of different cultures and communities.
