Steve Sleep – Senior Trainer/ConsultantSteve has worked in the Oil/Gas Emergency Response sector for over 12 years. Prior to this he qualified for a degree in Applied Geography. He started his career at Oil spill Response Ltd where he gained vast knowledge and experience in several key departments as a Senior, including Operations, Training, Consultancy and Preparedness. All such roles involved working all over the world including several secondments to Major Oil Companies, such as BP and Chevron Australia within their Crisis Management team.Having worked at OSRL for nearly 8 years and involved in multiple major exercises and incidents including the 2010 Macondo spill in the Gulf of Mexico, he then moved into the position of Operations Manager for National Response Corporation (NRC) in the Middle East. During his time at NRC he was responsible for the management of several response bases and personnel. Additionally, tasked with Conducting full scale capability reviews on all ADNOC Group Companies to ensure Business Continuity across the organisation to ALARP levels.Having returned to the UK after several years in the Middle East he has now joined SpillConsult as a Senior Trainer/Consultant.
