 Reported directly to the Owner who made all macro decisions for the academy. Was the sole Customer Service person and first point of contact for parents and potential customers. Handled all incoming calls, overnight messages and emails, while also handling parents, customers and potential customers who came through the door into our 32,000 square-foot facility. Took care of many daily tasks that had time-sensitive deadlines. Did all QuickBooks entries and provided reports for 3 years. Was responsible for scheduling every training cage and every lesson. Created a team atmosphere where instructors felt comfortable offering input to improve the academy.

Also chose my own artwork for my articles from the GMS library. Created my own content daily with deadlines and was proficient with SEO content and WordPress. Used my blog, online forums and Twitter account to promote my articles.

 As Statistician: Used Data Entry to compile & maintain league’s first statistical database in MS-Excel.  As Webmaster: Created & maintained the league website for 20 years & added the database to it. As President (2 yrs.) & Vice-President: Resolved all league disputes & issues that arose for 20 years.

 Posted articles with daily info on the biggest sports handicapping forums & got 90,000+ views a week.  Created all of my writing content myself. Participated in private sports handicapping forums and talked to many pro handicappers daily to compare handicapping information in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB & NCAA.  Viewers liked my writing style and I got a lot of compliments in an arena where many writers/posters got vilified. I was humble while providing unique information and analysis that could not be found anywhere else on the internet. Created an NBA handicapping database in MS-Excel that includes every line and total plus game data going back to the 1981-82 season. Footnote: I have continued to add every NBA season since 2007 to my database by using Data Entry techniques every day.

 Helpdesk Analyst on the Mack Trucks account from July of 1999 to March of 2003. Was the #1 monthly performer for 40 of the 45 months based on the monthly metrics on our 12-person helpdesk team for the Mack Trucks contract. I was #1 in calls answered, tickets created, tickets solved and many other pertinent categories during those months according to our posted monthly metrics. Learned the Mack Trucks in-house software to provide first-level technical support for client’s world-wide employees’ use of the software, operating systems, hardware, and peripherals. Achieved a high level of proficiency in Windows and MS Office products, especially MS-Excel. Was the go-to person on our team for all complex MS-Excel issues. Flexible team player who could switch shifts with other team members & stay late when needed. Only analyst on the team who volunteered to work a Thanksgiving and Christmas shift the same year.

 Designed, researched, and coordinated nightly scoreboard page and MLB, NHL and NBA pages. Covered and wrote articles (under nightly deadlines) for local sporting events. Also took calls daily to compile local sports information and write it up for the next day’s newspaper. Filled in as a copy-editor when it got super-busy near publishing deadlines. This became a part-time job for me in May of 1998 when I started working for Computer Aid.
