As a Chartered Engineer, I bring extensive hands-on experience in delivering highway maintenance services within the local government sector. I have a strong track record of working in local government and am well-versed in Highways, Procurement, and Stakeholder Management. Additionally, I have served as the Past President of the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE), gaining significant experience in professional development as a mentor and reviewer for individuals seeking professional registration.For nearly five years, I have held the role of Chief Executive of the IHE, where I have been fully responsible for overseeing the strategic and business operations of the Institute. During this time, I supported the Presidential Team and Council in providing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for members, while also offering training and guidance to those pursuing professional registration.As CEO, I played a key role in securing the Institute’s financial stability, building reserves to support its future growth. Under my leadership, the IHE’s profile saw considerable enhancement, and we implemented improvements in web-based services to better handle member inquiries and increase organizational efficiency.Having achieved significant milestones over the last five years, I have decided to step aside, making way for new leadership to guide the Institute through the next phase of its evolution. I now look forward to pursuing my next challenge within the highways sector.I am now seeking my next challenge in the highways sector.
